A mid-September Friday evening in Lancaster and things were buzzing at Kaleidoscope, a recording studio and indie music venue that has been hosting shows regularly for months. Something a little different was happening this night. Noite, an experimental ambient duo made up of Kyle Yuditsky and Nick Christenson, were playing a full set their often unexplainable audio collages made up of found sounds, vinyl samples, homemade synthesizers, heavily-effected guitars, and a couple microphones, used exclusively for vocal drones. The seamless set of audio layers served as a soundtrack for three local artists, who were adding their permanent marks to the western all of the studio.
Noite joins us on October 27, 2017 to open an evening of ambient music supporting Chuck van Zyl, modular synth wizard and host of the WXPN overnight ambient radio program Star’s End and producer of the Philadelphia ambient concert series, The Gatherings.
