A few weeks ago I went to Philly to catch Chuck van Zyl at The Gatherings Concert Series (which was awesome, by the way). Josh, an old friend who I hadn’t seen for a while lives on South Street, so I pinged him to see if he’d have dinner with me before the show. He agreed and recommended his local hang, Tattooed Mom.
Not only was the food, service, and overall vibe excellent, the space itself blew me away. I recently came across this short documentary that showcases the owner, and I came to learn that the history and vision are really fucking cool as well. An unconventional space for unconventional things. Check it.
